Cabarrus County Fire Departments Receive AFG Grant

On April 9th, 2012, U.S. Senator Kay R. Hagan announced Monday that Cabarrus County would receive $1 million for operations and safety equipment through the Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program. Flowes Store, along with other Cabarrus County fire and EMS departments, will benefit from this grant by receiving funds to purchase new communications equipment.
Flowes Store Celebrates 50 Years Of Service

On March 10th, 2012, Flowes Store celebrated its 50th year of dedicated service. Flowes Store held an all day celebration open to the community. The celebration included; free food, station tours, truck tours, extrication demonstrations, kid's fun zone, and an obstacle course for the public.
Working House Fire

On February 16th, 2012, Flowes Store was dispatched, assisting Allen Fire Department, to a structure fire on Zion Church Road. Upon arrival units found a single family residence with heavy fire showing. Flowes Store performed primary search and assisted with overhaul. A quick knockdown on the fire was made by attack crews. Additional departments on the box include; Concord, Harrisburg, and Midland.

On July 29, 2011, Flowes Store was dispatched, assisting Allen Fire Department, to a reported structure fire on Bostwood Lane. Upon arrival, units found a detached garage behind the residence fully involved. Engine 2 was assigned fire attack and a quick knockdown was made. Additional departments on the box included; Concord, Harrisburg, and Midland.
